I remember how much my sister loved playing with paper dolls when she was younger. At the time, these dolls could be purchased in a book, with cardboard cut-outs of dolls on the front page, and cut-outs of the clothes and accessories on the back page. She would attach the clothes and accessories to the naked dolls by using tabs to hold them in place. The doll could stand up on their own by inserting them into a paper stand. In the middle of the book were pages of backgrounds, like a Paris cafe, or a fashion runway scene, where my sister would spend hours pretending to live the life of the doll.
